This interview series is with Greg Ciraulo, who runs a great Facebook group, Making the Grade, and sells on Instagram as well. If you're on Facebook, I highly recommend joining his group. It's a great resource for getting another opinion on your raw books in terms of grading. So I thought what better person to interview and pick his brain for this interview series.

Superheroes and comic book characters have become more popular than ever with the release of blockbuster movies from Marvel and DC Comics during the past few decades. Back when I was younger the special effects and technology was not available to give life to the pages of the comics I read. There were several bad attempts at TV shows and movies that were incredibly bad. Now with both powerhouses announcing plans for dozens of movies coming in the next five years, there is going to be even more newcomers to the hobby of comic book collecting. So where do you begin? Start with these top 3 tips in order to put together a good collection.

This interview series is with an old high-school buddy from my old neighborhood back in Chicago. We were good friends way before social media and through the magic of Facebook reconnected. I had no idea he was into comics or even into cosplay until I saw some of his photos. So I figured it would be a great way to reconnect and do an interview for the blog. He's a great guy and we go way back and his cosplay is amazing!

I recently sent my largest value of books into a new presser/cleaner. And I wanted to see what a majority of people did when shipping. This post will cover what some of the more seasoned collectors have done to protect their books.

This interview series is with long-time seller Mark Buckingham. About three years ago I got back into comics pretty heavily. It lead me to trying to find books anywhere locally and that's when I came across a comic garage sale in my area thrown by Mark. And it was one of the best ones I've been to! And I look forward to it every year as he always has great stuff. He had half of his books organized and the other have were all random, which I enjoy thoroughly, as I love digging and finding good books. So it was nice to be able to get a chance to interview him for the blog as he in essence got me back into comics.

Custom covers are one of my goals as a comic book collector, as I love art in general. There are a few artists I'd love to get commissions from. So I was intrigued when I saw Randy Procter's work on social media. It was astonishing that he was actually burning his art onto the paper!

Back in May, I was looking for different ways to take my sales game to the next level. I reached out to a number of sellers to get some advice. I've learned that in order to move up, you should question those that are in the position you want to be. And I found out one of them used a Rollo printer in order to create shipping labels. I was skeptical at first, but after thorough research, I pulled the trigger on one and am incredibly happy that I did.

My next intervew series is with James Skeffington who creates great YouTube content on his channel Skeff's Comic Knowldege. He does several videos on unboxing graded books and mystery boxes. And I had the pleasure of meeting him when I went out to Indianapolis for a Clayton Crain signing. He was actually filming and luckily I was able to make it into the video. I thoroughly enjoy his channel, so check him out!
